An early throwback to our last trip to Nieu Bethesda in 2015. It’s an amazingly relaxing place to be in the winter freeze with the place practically empty. @withoutaleaf was well prepared from film sets for the outdoor cold. . .

Beautiful sunny winter’s day chez moi.

A classic rain-drenched Cape Town winter is cold and inconvenient. But now we can really appreciate it as we read how the dam levels are rising all the time.

A first experiment with the ring flash. I need a much shorter lens to get that ring flash look. This was the 105. Think I need to try a 28 with this crop sensor camera. But hopefully I’ll get it figured and put some proper ones up in the next month or so… who knows?

Trinket’s up after a brutal day of relentless napping. She’s exploring the mess that house repairs have left the back yard in. Being a crepuscular creature, she enjoys the winter twilight.
