Pretty in powder blue. A European Roller. First day in Kruger and we see a Black Rhino (!) and 4 young cheetahs.

What’s going in your holiday guitar bag? Last year I packed it and left it like a fool. @chocklit_thunda lent me one in Joburg even though we’d never previously met. 🙌 This year though I get to take my own beloved Alvarez parlour and a bunch of things to work on. The blues book has stuff by Furry Lewis and Frank Stokes. @sad_ivan gave it to me, the star. The Cohen book is also from the ‘60s and was my ma’s songbook. And, if I start to get REALLY ambitious there’s Chet Atkins.
He’s not the messiah, he’s just a very silly boy.
Trinket gleefully steals my postprandial spot on the couch. It’s become her signature move.
Mr Crumb is a bit of an anxious boi. When he’s scared like now (there’s a jackhammer doin him a concern) he snuggles up with Skitten.

Cara Stacy and Nicola du Toit - the brains and hard slog behind the Betwixt Music project - providing a regular event for musical experimentation here in Cape Town. @cara.
@duma_ma. The highlight of a great evening of new and experimental music in Cape Town - hosted regularly by Betwixt Music. The only events of their kind here, so look out for them. @sophdex @cara.
She’s really rather silly, our Trinket.
