Still playing with the XE1, natch. It’s old. But not as old as the last one I was using. So I don’t have to restrict it to bright daylight. This arm of the couch is Trinket’s current top fave evening spot.

I’ve finally got my little Fujifilm XE1 camera up and running and I’m so stoked to use it. I’m just going to explore using the in-camera jpegs for the time being. So here in testing is my old man - Prof Scott Millar to students who were amazed that any person could care so much about electro-cardiograms. In fact, he’s still at it. He’s working with a PHD student to develop an ECG app and I’m helping him put a little diagnostic ECG database together.

We needed a stovetop kettle for the blackouts. My ma dug out my gran’s old one - from the 50s maybe? I remember this on her stove as a child in the 80s. Puffing steam for the first time in maybe 30 years.

David Goldblatt exhibition. It’s wonderful to see his prints in full, stark detail. Nothing nostalgic in his depiction of a time in which people gave their youth and health to make a tiny few rich.

I’m old enough to remember when ‘Made in Japan’ was code for cheap and shoddy goods. Even then it was out of date. I own American originals and this guitar smokes ‘em.

Every so often they sleep snuggled up like when they were babies. Slow photography months for me.
