My Ma at @joydemillar’s wedding reception.
My Ma at @joydemillar’s wedding reception.
It’s strange seeing pics of my dad, @millar6300, and his cousin, David - the proud father of the bride - from the ’50s and seeing how they seem much more similar today than they did back then.
My wonderful cousin, @joydemillar and Debby are hitched! What a great pair of humans they are. I’m so glad I’ve connected with Joy and her brother @timdrmillar , and even their cousins Jonathan and Belinda through Joy being the best drummer we’ve ever had in 20 years of @krakatoa_band. Those kids have all turned into the most warm-hearted adults I could imagine. This is the last day of my holiday. It’s pointless me adding the #latergram tag to the pics I’ll be posting, since I’m just bad at instagram and pretty much all of them would be. I ran out of steam to post in Kruger, but I have a few to share. ...
A waterbuck bull. It has big horns and a ring around its butt. What’s not to like?
This was the second leopard posing on our drive this afternoon. We only stopped for a few minutes for this one because it was 20 minutes to gate closing. The other one that @withoutaleaf photographed was even more amazing.
An old chap chewing on a grass stem.
There have been heavy rains. We’ve never seen Kruger this green before. Photos can’t convey the glowing, emerald green of parts of the Southern Park. The animals look like they’re in one of those English ‘safari parks.
After three days on the road it’s great to finally arrive at the best place on Earth.
Colesberg for the night. Brain dead from the N1.
Eerie boys, 1997. Only @kanesnaps is on insta in this pic. That’s Gen-Xers for you. I seem to have taken a couple of these low-light timed pictures back then - by candlelight too.
